It’s hard to believe it’s been two whole years since I quietly packed up Miss Milly’s first pastel collection, tied everything with twine and a hopeful heart, and headed off to SARCDA.
I didn’t say much at the time. It felt like a soft, deeply personal leap – a long-dreamed-of moment that I needed to sit with before sharing. But now, with a little distance (and a lot of gratitude), I thought it was time to tell the story.
After years of keeping Miss Milly close – offering our thoughtful, slow-living paper goods solely through our own online store – I finally took the leap into wholesale. Not just any leap, but one with a subtle colour shift.
While the Miss Milly online collection stays true to its classic white palette, the exclusive range for retailers is wrapped in the gentlest pastels – soft blush, muted blue, sage, and butter yellow. Still the same beloved ‘Where the Wildflowers Grow’ designs, but in colours made to bloom on shop shelves and in curated spaces across the country.
SARCDA was the first time these pastel wildflowers stepped out into the world. It was daunting and beautiful all at once – watching people walk by, pause, and smile. Some leaned in for a closer look, some asked gentle questions, and a few just said, “This feels like something special.” And that was enough.

From blank shell to blooming stall
What began as a plain, empty shell at SARCDA slowly transformed into something quietly magical. With a few tools, a lot of heart, and Mister Milly’s hands at work, we built the display from scratch – wooden shelves, soft pastel tones, and a space that felt warm, personal, and true to the Miss Milly spirit.

We displayed just enough to tell the story. A notebook resting beside a notepad. A scattering of gift tags. A single sheet of stickers gently placed. Each item given space to breathe, so the details could speak for themselves.
It was calm, considered, and deeply personal. A little corner of the world where Miss Milly’s wildflowers could bloom, softly.

Looking back now, I realise how significant that moment was – not just for Miss Milly, but for me too. It marked the quiet beginning of a new chapter. One rooted in trust. In growth. In allowing space for something small and handmade to take up a little more room in the world.
So here it is: a belated thank you. To everyone who supported that first pastel range, to the store owners who believed in it, and to every kind heart who’s followed along, cheered from afar, or sent a note of encouragement.
You made that moment possible.
And two years later, Miss Milly is still blooming – both online and on store shelves, quietly and purposefully, just the way I always hoped.
