A deeply personal post…

Our right hand at home (that only comes every now and again because she has decided at the age of 39 to go back to school and finish her Matric 🫶) is celebrating her 40th next week.

I put together a birthday surprise for her and really felt that I needed to include a notebook from Miss Milly for her (it also pressed on Mark’s heart).

I gave her gifts to her before she left today with a strict instruction to open it only on her birthday; she gave the wrapped notebook one look (it was in tissue paper so a little see through) and asked if it was a book. I said yes. Her reply floored me: “Skonny, God heard me. I asked my neighbour to buy me a book for school when they go to town again and now you give me this. God heard me. God is good. Always.”

God is good. Always. He is in the notebook prayers. The longings of your heart. The small prayers. The big dreams.

What a beautiful reminder!
